ARQ is an intentional artist community in the Finger Lakes region of New York State.
Structures, Spaces, & Community - What ARQ Offers
we are not a commune. we are not a cult. we are not a church. We are an intentional community in the hamlet of Mecklenburg that prioritizes supporting local tradespeople and creatives, collaboration, and the natural environment.
The rich tapestry of ARQ characters and skillsets weaves a network of support for individuals to explore a range of mediums, and a safe space for people from all walks of life to share their visions as they manifest into physical realities. ARQ is a place to share ideas, to delight in delicious local bounties, to tend the land for ourselves and future generations, and host work spaces and individuals known for adding flair and functionality to the surrounding areas.
We curate, create, build, and offer Studio Spaces, Residential Spaces, and intentional Food Systems to ARQtists. Our intentional community has included over one hundred people who have studied or worked in an ARQ space over the last 26 years.
